The materials on this page are designed to help you become more literate and feel more confident in your ability to use English.
LT1 - Write in full sentences; begin with a capital letter and end with a full stop.

LT4 - Extend your answers by giving clear examples of using evidence from texts.
LT2 - Use a range of punctuation in your writing.
LT3 - Extend your writing by using connectives.
“No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance." Confucius
LT5 - Make your work more interesting by varying the way in which you start sentences. Open your sentences with words which end in "ed" or "ing" or ly".
LT6 - Always use full sentences when answering questions.
LT7 - Spell words correctly. Use posters around the room and a dictionary to help.
LT8 - Spell homophones correctly; commonly confused words in English.
LT9 - Make sure you use paragraphs; parts of a paragraph / topic sentences.
LT10 - Focus on your handwriting - it is difficult to read.
