This page is dedicated to helping you become successful in your GCSE Literature. The exam board which the resources below apply to is the WJEC but much of the material will also be of use to those who are studying OCR.  (If you are uncertain which board you are studying see Mr Collinson)

English

Literature

The English Literature GCSE requires students to study three stories; normally two novels and a play, and some poetry.  There is also coursework, in which students will compare a Shakespeare play to a couple of poems, with a focus on a given theme. The GCSE is broken down into: 

Coursework: 25% 

Exam 1- Unit 1: 35% 

Exam 2 â€“ Unit 2: 40%
